We are excited to announce auditions for our Award-Winning NPAF Troupe!
The National Performing Arts Festival is an annual event held in Orlando. Hundreds of theater students from all over the globe gather to celebrate theater at the entertainment capital of the world!
Our NPAF Troupe will rehearse a Broadway Jr show, and perform a 20 minute excerpt for a panel of judges at the National Performing Arts Festival, February 20th – February 24th, 2020. In addition, cast members will attend workshops taught by industry professionals designed to improve their abilities in singing, acting, and dancing. They will get to watch performances by other groups, and have an opportunity to pick the brains of Disney Casting Directors.
Students Grades 4-12
PLEASE NOTE: Students in grades 4-6 must be accompanied by a parent on the trip to Orlando.
This program is designed for students who already advanced at performing arts. This is not a good program for students who have limited or no experience with musical theater.
Students must prepare a 32 bar cut of a contemporary musical theater song. They should select a song that shows off their vocal ability. Songs from Disney Musicals are encouraged. Please find a suitable accompaniment track on YouTube for your child to audition with.
Students must prepare a monologue 30-90 seconds in length.
Students will be taught a short dance routine from a musical theater number so that we can evaluate their dance abilities, as well as their ability to learn choreography.
Auditions will be located at our Kennesaw Studio:
1610 Cobb International Blvd, Suite 1
Kennesaw, GA, 30152
Auditions will be:
Monday, July 29th, 6:00 PM
Students will be taught a short dance at the beginning of the auditions, then will perform their song and monologue in the order in which they arrived.
If your child cannot attend this audition date, please video them singing their 32 bar cut and performing their 30-90 second monologue(iphone recordings are fine). Upload the video to YouTube, and email the link to the YouTube video to email@example.com.
NPAF Troupe will rehearse only on Saturdays 6:00 PM-9:00 PM beginning August 3rd-November 9th. The rehearsal schedule changes to Saturdays 2:30 PM-5:30 PM and Thursdays 6:00-8:30 beginning November 21st. Please refer to the rehearsal schedule for specific rehearsal dates.
