We are happy to be joining the students at the Walker School to put on their school play “The Big Bad Wolf” with students in 1st-5th grade.
“There’s somethin’ in the woods, and it don’t feel right, uh huh!”
The moon is full, and the Wolf is on the prowl. Everyone in the village is on the look out, making sure they don’t run across this terrifying beast. All the while, Little Red Ridinghood is on her way to visit her granny. Goldilocks just wants to be best friends… and Sherry the Sheep dreams of what life might be like outside of the meadow.
This musical is by far our most popular show we have in our repertoire. The music is infectious, and the characters are hilarious. Filled with knee-slapping comedy, and moments of disappointment and dispair, “The Big Bad Wolf” will be an experience your family will never want to forget.
WHO: All students 1st-5th are invited to participate in this production.
WHERE: Students will meet in room 307.
WHEN: Students meet every Tuesday beginning September 5th. Classes are 3:45-5:00 (right after Chorus). Beginning in the Winter, classes will begin at 3:15, immediately after school.
TECH WEEK AND PERFORMANCES:
Tech Week refers to the rehearsals in which technical elements, such as lighting, sound, props, and costumes, are all added into the process. Tech Week occurs at our performance venue (NOT at The Walker School). Parents must arrange for their children’s transportation to the performance venue each day of this week. We will help parents arrange car pools if necessary.
Tech rehearsals will be:
Monday, April 16th, 3:45 PM-6:00 PM
Tuesday, April 17th, 3:45 PM-6:00 PM
Wednesday, April 18th, 3:45 PM-6:00 PM
Thursday, April 19th, 3:45 PM-6:00 PM
Students are required to be at the performance venue AT LEAST 60 MINUTES before the show begins. We need this time to get them into costume and to fit them with wireless microphones.
Friday, April 20th, 7:00 PM
Saturday, April 21st, 3:00 PM
There’s is a $50 monthly production fee for the students to be involved with this program. Payments must be paid on our website.
